Field Technician

The Field Technician will be part of the Customer (Technical) Support team and will be important to provide better technical support for customers who require onsite, phone, or email assistance. LFA Machine Field Technicians will provide onsite installation, training and troubleshooting in customers’ facilities as well as in the LFA facilities.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in a similar role and a formal qualification in electrical engineering or similar. They will be excellent at managing their own time and tasks. The individual we are looking for will be able to achieve independent goals while coordinating with the rest of the support team to ensure an overall great customer experience.
To be successful in the role, they will also need to communicate effectively with the rest of the team and our customers as well as be quick and keen to learn our products with a mentality of always striving to continually develop themselves and help others.
Job Responsibilities:
- Travel to customers’ sites to provide installation and training for the purchased LFA equipment.
- Provide technical after-sales support on the phone/email.
- Troubleshoot and repair machines at customers’ locations as well as in the LFA warehouse.
- Manage the tasks associated with repairing customers’ machines such as communicating with customers, updating records, and managing the schedule and timeline of the repairs.
- Collaborate and coordinate with the rest of the support team and the sales team to provide great support for our customers.
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in a similar role.
- Qualification, degree or diploma in electrical engineering or similar.
- Able and willing to travel to customers’ sites when scheduled.
- Great problem solver with excellent communication skills and time management.
- Quick learner.
- Very supportive towards his colleagues and customers.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- 75% Travel nationwide. A current passport is not required before starting but eligibility to obtain a passport is a must.
Pay: $60,000 - $90,000 based on your education, skills, and experience.
