Electrical Assembler

As an Electrical Assembler, you will work closely with our Senior Electrical Assemblers and Electrical Engineers to ensure the proper and safe assembly of electrical components. You will be responsible for electrical wiring, installation, and testing of assembled machines. This role requires someone who is very meticulous and has great attention to detail to meet the goal of building and integrating electrical systems and equipment according to specifications and blueprints.

Compression Components & Service, LLC often known by CCS Index Stokes (part of Operio Group) is a fast-growing and family-owned company that provides support services to tablet press end users including control systems, spare parts, training, and field service.
Job Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions to understand assembly requirements.
- Gather necessary electrical components, wires, and tools required for the assembly process.
- Assemble electrical components, such as control circuits, switches, connectors, transformers, and relays, according to prescribed specifications.
- Install wiring harnesses, cables, and conduits following designated routing paths.
- Secure and mount electrical components onto chassis, panels, or enclosures using appropriate hardware and fasteners.
- Perform basic electrical wiring and soldering tasks, ensuring proper connections and adherence to safety standards.
- Conduct functional tests, Validation and inspections to verify the quality and functionality of assembled electrical systems or equipment.
- Troubleshoot and rectify assembly issues or defects, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of the assembly processes, test results, and any deviations encountered.
- Follow safety guidelines and adhere to electrical codes and regulations during the assembly process.
- Collaborate with engineering to address technical issues and improve product design or the assembly processes.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring the proper handling and storage of electrical components and tools.
- Adhere to production schedules and meet established production targets while maintaining quality standards.
Job Requirements
- Completion of an Electrical certification or program from a junior college or trade school required
- Previous experience in electrical assembly or a related field is preferred
- Strong understanding of electrical components, wiring techniques, and basic electrical control circuits.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, electrical schematics, and work instructions.
- Basic knowledge of electrical testing equipment and measurement tools.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and soldering equipment safely and effectively.
- Detail-oriented with good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices and electrical codes and regulations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required.
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 hourly based on education, experience, and skills.
